Private Boater's "Guide School" - 5 Day

$1,950.00

This five-day “Guide School” is designed specifically for private boaters who want to level up their skills. It's an immersive, hands-on experience, similar to a guide training program, but focused entirely on the needs of private boaters—no washing wetsuits or obsessing over how to cut a pineapple here!

During the course, you’ll:

  • Learn both rowing and paddle boating skills

  • Master how to read water and scout rapids for safety

  • Get comfortable with rigging and using various types of equipment

  • Build your foundation in river safety and rescue techniques

  • Walk away with the skills to have a fun, safe time on the river

Whether you’re new to boating or looking to improve your technique, this school will give you the tools to feel more confident and prepared out on the water.

Offered in 2025:

  • July 7 - 11

Logistics:

  • Bring Your Own Gear: We encourage students to bring their own lifejackets, helmets, and splash wear for a more personalized experience, but CRI is happy to provide any gear you may need.

  • Rafts & Transportation Provided: CRI will provide rafts and transportation to and from the river and meeting locations, so all you have to do is show up and get ready for adventure

What Makes This Guide School Different?

  • Focused on Private Boaters: Unlike traditional guide schools, which train professionals, this program is designed specifically for you, the private boater. Learn practical skills for personal enjoyment and safety, not for guiding others.

  • Small Group Sizes: With hands-on learning and plenty of instructor attention, you'll have more opportunities to practice and ask questions.

  • No Pressure, Just Fun: This is about learning, not performing. It’s a relaxed but thorough approach that helps you feel confident and comfortable on the water.

By the end of the clinic, you’ll be equipped with the skills needed for a lifetime of safe, enjoyable river running
