Checkin In - Originally posted on March 22nd
Hey all. We here at CRI just wanted to reach out to all of you and check in.
How are you doing? Hanging in there?
We hope you’re able to make the most of this situation. As inconvenient as it is, if you are able to spend this time in your home, be grateful for that, slow down, spend time with your family, do all those little projects you’ve been meaning to get to, read, write letters by hand with a fancy pen, reconnect with old friends (remotely of course), practice making z-drags in your living room and rearrange the furniture. Slow down. Remember to breath… and wash your hands. Get take-out from your local restaurants. And equally as important, keep thinking about and preparing for the next adventure. This too shall pass. Things will all pick up again and hopefully it will be put back together even better than it has been. This is not a war. Science and keeping a clear head will see us all through. Take the long view…
To that end, we want you to know where we are standing. Of course we can only hope for the best for the upcoming river, guiding, and tourism season, but we understand that the crystal ball is murky. At this time, we have only cancelled one course that was scheduled to start in late April, as "non-essential" businesses in Colorado have been mandated to close until May 1st. All other courses or events that are currently scheduled for the summer are still planning on running at this time. We are still talking with folks and scheduling new custom classes for the summer, but we must stay realistic and keep all options on the table.
We will continue to reevaluate as time goes on and if in a month’s time the prudent thing is to cancel or reschedule more courses, that’s what will happen. If we do end up adjusting our calendar, we will notify you and we will of course reach out personally to everyone who is currently enrolled.
If there are scheduling adjustments you’d like to speak with us about, please don’t hesitate to write or call.

In the meantime, we’re going to sally forth and plan for a full season. Assembling this shiny new AIRE 14R sure is a good way to pass an afternoon!
Best wishes from Elisha, Alan, and all of the CRI crew. Stay safe. Wash your hands!
