Cancellations due to Covid-19
After looking at how the winds are blowing for the state of Colorado, and after much soul searching, it is with regret that we have canceled all CRI classes that are currently scheduled to start before May 22nd.
This decision has not been made lightly. We are striving to make the best choices for the health and safety of our staff, community, and for you, our friends and clients. As it stands today, April 14th, the stay at home order and cessation of ‘non-essential’ business operations is officially in place through the end of the month for Colorado. While uncertainty abounds, we feel fairly confident that those orders will be extended into May. And even if they are not, we do not feel that we could reasonably mitigate the lingering possibility of exposure for our staff and clients. While our classes here at CRI are indeed conducted primarily outside, we would all be required to share the same vehicle spaces, rafts, and other gear without the time or ability to take appropriate precautions.
We very much wish that this was not the case. We love what we do and wish that we could be on the water with you during what is shaping up to be a lovely spring.
Currently, because we are holding out hope that we will have some sort of operational summer, we are making this decision for just the first part of May, and we will continue to evaluate as the situation develops. As soon as we are able to have clarity as to what the situation this summer will be, we plan to do everything we can to reschedule these classes for later in July or August.
Of course we hope that this unusual situation abates over the summer and that you are able and willing to spend some time on the water with us at a later date. Please don’t hesitate to write or call with any questions, concerns, or suggestions as for when a rescheduled date might work best for you.
Wishing you and your family the best in these troubled times,
~ Elisha & Alan
